Donated in memory of Cecil Carr by his wife, Dorothy and family, charter members of Spring Valley Methodist Church, the distinctive bell tower was added in 1984 along with the new sanctuary.

The design features a crown at the top with a cross stretching above. The carillons are electronic and are controlled from within the church by a console.
