Nueva Vida is an emerging United Methodist church that Spring Valley United Methodist Church has supported for many years. Led by 30-year veteran pastor Carlos Nascimento, Nueva Vida is one of a very few Hispanic United Methodist congregations in the North Texas area. The congregation is growing rapidly under the leadership of a 16-member board comprised of members of the Nueva Vida community, Spring Valley UMC, Arapaho UMC, and First UMC-Richardson. Our goal is to be the first independent United Methodist congregation in the North Texas area.
The Nueva Vida community represents 12 different countries: Venezuela, El Salvador, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Cuba, Mexico, and the USA. This diversity is reflected in all activities of our Church, including singing, fellowship, and enjoying the rich culinary heritage of all the represented countries.
Nueva Vida believes that our faith and hope should be centered in God through Jesus Christ. Therefore, every individual is encouraged to attend Bible studies, prayer meetings, and worship led by Rev. Nascimento.
Nueva Vida sponsors ESL classes. Click here for more information or contact Rev. Carlos Nascimento, 972-239-9440
