Welcome to our loving Nursery!
At Spring Valley we believe your child is a gift from God. We consider it a privilege to love and nurture your child in the midst of our community of faith. You may be confident that your child will receive quality and individualized care from our trained caregivers.
Nursery care for Infants through Preschoolers is available at both the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services on Sundays. Toddlers and Preschoolers are combined in room 164/166 at the 8:30 a.m. service time.
Infants are in room 172 until they are walking steadily. This room is equipped with cribs, rocking chairs, and lots of age-appropriate toys. Toys are cleaned and disinfected regularly. Once children are walking steadily they may move to our Toddlers and Twos class in room 184. This classroom is filled with centers to keep any curious toddler happy and exploring. Children in the toddler class also hear a Bible story, have the opportunity to do a craft if they wish, and have a snack.
A healthy, secure, and loving environment is our goal. Here are several important things to remember that will make your child's time at Spring Valley enjoyable:
To protect the health of all our babies, we cannot accept a baby who has a contagious illness or a fever. The nursery caregivers may not administer medication to any child. If your child requires medication, you may come to the nursery and administer the medication.
Please put your child's name on all bottles, bags, blankets, and pacifiers. This helps us get the items back to you.
Please sign your child into the nursery and let us know where you'll be during your child's stay.
Please fill out the information slip indicating your baby's schedule and care preferences. Also let us know of any other information that will help us care for your child better.
Your child may cry when left with us. We understand this reaction to be a normal and healthy one. In most cases, crying stops a few minutes after you leave, and becomes less common with regular attendance. If your child continues to cry or be upset, we will send someone to notify you.
Parent volunteers are always welcome in the nursery classrooms.
