Do you like to sew baby items?
The Spring Valley Parkland Infant Outreach Group can use your help. We sew newborn diaper shirts and gowns for babies born to needy families at Parkland Hospital. Last year over 17,000 babies were born there, about 85% from needy families. There are 22 volunteers now who crochet or knit baby caps, afghans, and booties. Some of the volunteers make quilts and others come to the meetings and cut out diaper shirts and gowns. We always have more cut-out diaper shirts and gowns than we have volunteers to sew them. If you have some time to sew, there are babies waiting for your help.

The Parkland Infant Outreach Group meets on the 3rd Tuesday morning of each month in the small dining room outside of Wesley Hall from 10 to 11:30am. For more information, call Jan Robertson.
