United Methodist Women is a community of women that is:
- Centered in relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
- Focused on ministries with women, children, and youth
- Involved in mission locally and globally.
UMW Purpose: The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministires of the church.
UMW Activities:
- Mission projects and contributions
- Fundraisers to support missions benefitting women, children, and youth
- Bible and special mission studies.
General Meetings:
Kick-off meetings are in September. Monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month from 11:30am - 1:00pm. Meetings begin with fellowship and lunch at 11:30. Business at noon is followed by a program. Generally there is no meeting in June, July and August.
Evening Banquets:
A Christmas Brunch in December and a Spring Banquet in May offer opportunities to enjoy fellowship and to encourage new participants.

Craft Ladies
All are welcome as the Spring Valley United Methodist Craft Ladies group meet in room 182 every Monday, 10:00am to 2:30pm beginning the first of September. Bazaars are held twice a year at Christmas and Easter featuring beautifully crafted items, baked goods and "white elephant" items.
