Worship Services at Spring Valley United Methodist Church

Join us on Sunday as our community of faith gathers. We offer:

8:30am Traditional Service - Meets in the Sanctuary from 8:30 to 9:30am. Various choirs participate from Ladies' Ensemble, Men's Ensemble, Youth and Handbells. Our Senior Pastor, Mark Vowell leads in this service as well as the 11:00 Traditional Service.

9:45am Common Ground - Common Ground, the 9:45 a.m. contemporary service, seeks to incorporate the best of contemporary Christian music and audiovisual technology to enhance the biblical understanding of our common worship experience. Music is provided each week by SVUMC's dynamic Praise Band under the direction of Phil West. Common Ground also features special time for children and youth. Risen Youth Choir provides music on these occasions, several times during the year.

Hearing help in the sanctuary is broadcast on 87.9 FM. A small pocket FM radio will pick up the low-power transmission. A loaner radio with earplug is available from the ushers.

1:30pm Nueva Vida - Spanish language service. Led by Rev. Carlos Nascimento, this Fellowship of Believers represents 12 different countries: Venezuela, El Salvador, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Cuba, Mexico, and the USA. This diversity is reflected in all activities of our Church, from singing to the enjoyable moments of fellowship, including the rich culinary heritage of all the represented countries.

Child Care is provided for these worship services. We want you to feel welcome entrusting your children to us. If you are a first-time visitor, please ask an usher for directions to the children's wing or click here to visit our children's Christian education page.
