The Music Ministry here at Spring Valley is truly a blessing to many in our church and community. Through worship we experience God's Call to love through action. Our music ministry is one of the many ways our neighbors can encounter Christ at Spring Valley.

Chancel Choir

Chancel Choir is a group of fun loving people that enjoy singing and making beautiful music. They love welcoming new singers to close knit family. This group leads worship during the 11:00 a.m. traditional service each Sunday. This choir also presents special worship services for Advent, Lent and Easter. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. with childcare provided, by request. This group has been on hiatus during this pandemic but has continued to lead via many virtual choir projects.

Gospel Choir

Gospel choir is a group that sings worship 4-5 times a year. They rehearse from 12:00 pm -12:30 pm on Sunday, right after the 11 am services. We love to sing Gospel songs from various traditions. This group is welcome to all.

Youth Ukulele Choir

Do you play the ukulele? Or have you always wanted to learn how to play the ukulele? Or do you have a ukulele that is collecting dust? Join us on Sundays at 11:00 am in the Youth Room!

Thompson Organ

Spring Valley was blessed with a financial gift for an organ of such magnificence that its type is usually found in only the largest of cathedrals or concert halls. Because of the generous gift of Zoe and Dick Thompson, the Thompson Organ’s warm and exquisite tones provide an inspiring accompaniment for worship services and special musical events. The organ was specifically built for Spring Valley beginning in 1996 and was dedicated on February 13-14, 1999. The congregation of Spring Valley is doubly blessed with our organist, John Tarver, who has served this congregation for over two decades.
