Don’t Fail! From early on that’s what we’re taught.
But in life failure comes – in many forms: academic underperformance, parental disappointment, vocational missteps, financial setbacks, relational heartaches.
When we find ourselves in the defeat and deep hurt of failure, what do we tell ourselves? “I failed!” How much do we “beat ourselves up”? How easy is it to bridge from “I failed” to “I am a failure!” or “My failure is final!” ?
What’s my “myth” when it comes to failure?
I love the Scripture, God will never fail us or forsake us. In God’s steadfast love we can face into our failures and even embrace failure as holding lessons to learn and as a step on the path forward.
Bust the myth, “I am a failure”. Lean into the truth, in God’s grace I can learn and grow even in the hardest times of life.
Life can be better when you bust a few myths.
